Using Microwave 


  • Boil water in a large microwave-safe bowl.

  • Measure 45g (1 ½oz) rice per person and put it into a microwave-safe bowl of boiling water.

  • Add salt to taste.

  • Cover and vent. Cook on full power (650W) for 10 minutes..

  • Drain water, fluff with a fork and serve hot.

  • For best results, soak rice for 15 to 20 minutes before cooking.

Using Stove 


  • Boil water in a large saucepan.

  • Measure 45g (1 ½oz) rice per person and put it into a saucepan of boiling water.

  • Add salt to taste.

  • Bring to boil, stir once, cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes.

  • Drain water, fluff with a fork and serve hot.
